2020 has been some year so far with quarantines, lockdowns, mask wearing, social distancing, panic buying then BLM with the death of George Floyd, protester's and riots. What else could possibly happen?
8/4/2020 Beirut wanted to show the world that 2020 was not done with its self, with a massive explosion that created it's own mushroom cloud with reports of 70 to nearly 80 deaths and over 1000 injured.
At paranormal Hive our thoughts go out to all families and friends who have been affected by COVID-19 and the explosion.
As the world still revolves we have all had time to binge watch movies and tv shows,.
New movies being released via VOD (Video On Demand) and production on shows and movies suspended.
What if you can still make a movie in light of the quarantine and social distance how about you make one that is low budged and use the tools that you have and make horror ?
Host is a Shudder original and was made in the last few months and follows a group of friends that take part in a seance over Zoom and things take a turn for the worse. The movie is pretty good with a found footage concept and the fact it was filmed just a couple months ago and the effect are pretty good.
The group of friends have never done a seance before except for the host.
If you like the paranormal activity movies you would probably like this very clever concept for the situation we are all in with social distancing.
I would recommend given this a watch even if it's just to pass the time. Paranormal Activity movie was not something I enjoyed but did I did enjoy this. Low budged easy to watch. You can watch it on Shudder now.
